Hodes Weill Securities, LLC acted as financial advisor to HSBC Asset Management, a UK based investment manager with US$662 billion in assets under management, on a strategic transaction driven by the desire to expand their real estate investment capabilities under the HSBC Alternatives business in Asia Pacific.

OUTCOME/RESULTS

HSBC AM hired Hodes Weill to perform due diligence, undertake a valuation, and assist in the transaction process for the acquisition of SilkRoad Property Partners, a Singapore-headquartered private equity real estate firm. Hodes Weill subsequently conducted an extremely confidential process to review the target’s due diligence and prepare a valuation report, which resulted in the sale of 100% of the shares of SilkRoad Property Partners. All employees of SilkRoad Property Partners Pte. Ltd. and its three subsidiaries have joined HSBC AM’s Real Estate Asia Pacific team in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.
