Institutional investors have increased their target allocations for commercial real estate to 10.4% on average this year, as returns climb year-on-year, according to Hodes Weill & Associates.
This year’s average target allocation to the asset class was 30 basis points higher than in 2017, and 150 basis points higher than in 2013, the advisory firm said in its latest real estate allocations monitor. The findings were based on a survey of 208 institutional investors across 29 countries, representing a combined $11 trillion of assets under management.
